For the gear heads!!!
Here is a list of some of the gear that I use in the studio, it’s something I get asked a lot, and unless otherwise stated, the links are not sponsored, but I have included Amazon affiliate links in case you fancy treating yourself.
Main Camera for wide shots, B-Roll, face recording, and photography – Canon 77D
Top down desk camera – Canon 200D
Via the Elgato Cam Link my webcam – Canon Legria HF R76
My secondary webcam – Logitech C930
I use the Sigma 17 – 70 as my daily driver, it also is what I use for the face portions of reviews
I use the Sigma 18-300 for my top down gantry shots via the 200D
One of my favourite photography lenses, the Canon Nifty Fifty, 50mm 1.8 for that sweet buttery smooth Bokeh
The Canon 10 – 18mm is fantastic for vlogging so gets used when I need to go wider than the sigma
For linking my camera to the computer, the El Gato Cam Link
For one touch application navigation and streaming, the El Gato Stream Deck
The smaller version
ShuttleXxpress when editing, I use a smaller cheaper version of this, but will be upgrading
Super ergonomic properly bluetooth mouse
The Sennheiser MKE600 is a spectacular shotgun mic and attached to my gantry for everything
The Rode Video Mic Pro gets mounted on the camera for mobile recording, it does have a super annoying battery door though
The Blue Yeti doesn’t get used as much as it used to, but it’s a great backup USB mic
The Behringer 302 converts my Sennheiser to USB and allows a basic mix for live streams, it also gets used for a guitar feed occasionally
These Edifier speakers are my desk speakers and sound fantastic, especially for the money!
These Sudio headphones were sent to me to try out, and their lack of internal EQ has made them valuable for mixing my sound, and BT headphones are awesome
Phone
Samsung Galaxy S8, This bad boy takes some pics and video, also gets a lot of photo editing use with apps like Snapseed and Lightroom
Not really studio gear, but I flippin’ love my Tic Watch Pro smartwatch
Computer
Apple iMac (late 2014)
Apple Macbook Pro
Samsung Tablet
Software
For Live streaming I used to use OBS, now it’s all about Ecamm Live for Mac, I love it!! It makes Skype conference calls a breeze, and the support is fantastic.
For all my video editing, I used Final Cut Pro X
I use Affinity Photo for all my photo editing on the computer
I use Affinity Designer for logo work and other ‘arty’ stuff
